Peter Runge was born and raised in the Washington, D.C., area and upstate New York. He earned bachelor’s degrees in English literature and sociology from Villanova University and master’s degrees in literature and science from Westchester University and the University of Albany, respectively. He has worked in academic and special libraries for more than a decade, and is presently curator of manuscripts and digital content at the Cline Library, Special Collections and Archives, on NAU campus. Runge previously co-edited and compiled the Directory of Repositories for the Capital District Library Council’s Documentary Heritage Program.
Peter Runge is the head of NAU Special Collections and Archives. Peter is responsible for leadership and management of a dynamic and energetic team of professionals. As a matter of fact, Mr. Runge along with a colleague wrote a book about Northern Arizona University whereabouts in 2011. During the interview, he mentioned that he never expected to be asked to write this book.
