- Two American Goldfinches are perched on flowers. One is a female and has dark yellow feathers on its back, lighter yellow feathers on its stomach, and black feathers on its tail and wings. The other is a male and has bright yellow feathers on its body, head, and stomach, and black feathers on its crown, tail, and wings. The male is viewed from above and the female is viewed from the side.
