Description
-
This piece contains two identical sepia colored stereographs with arched curves. They are placed side by side on orange card stock. Four rows of Native Americans appear in front of adobe buildings. The back row has one lone figure in the middle. The next row is of fourteen people standing. The third row contains twelve people sitting. The front row contains nine people sitting in the dirt. Some people appear to be holding items. They are dressed in various garments but the standing row wears mostly dark clothing while the row in front of them wears lighter clothing except one person on the right end. The row on the ground wears a variation of light and dark clothing. On the left side of the orange cardstock the text “ST. AUGUSTINE VIEWS./ By the Florida Club,” is printed sideways. The backside of the item is pink in color and on the bottom left corner in black/gray print reads “NYPG90-F129 059,” and in black ink is stamped “NYPL ‘DENNIS’ 1982.”
