Description
-
Two women are in a stone room, an open window to the right of them showing a cloudy blue sky. The woman on the left appears to be a young girl, wearing a modest olive green gown, and looks up admirably at the woman next to her. The woman in the center has a youthful face and looks off to her left, head angled toward the younger girl next to her, auburn curls pulled away from her face save for a few strays. She wears an extravagant gown that has puffy red sleeves, gold embellishments, and a blue cloak draped over her left shoulder. In her hands she holds a gold platter, of which the severed head of a man with curly brown hair and a beard resides. A cherub watches from the apex of the curved window in the background.
