What are Feminism Waves?
The feminist movement is much more expansive than most assume...It is not just a matter of fighting for women's rights, but for all gender rights regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or sexuality. However, before Bell Hooks introduced this intersectional theory of feminism in the mid 19th century, the movement was not as explicitly inclusive and there have been different periods of time in which the feminist goals shifted. These periods are known as waves, and the feminist movement that we currently know, has existed in three separate waves, each showing different focuses and ideas.
