Description
As an early 20th century parasol made in Great Britain and is trimmed with red silk for the canopy. It is trimmed with lines of black silk and the strips of black satin have been wound around the head running from the crown to the base of the chin. The ferule is made from plastic/resin. The parasol has a wooden handle surmounted by a dolls head covered with beige cotton. This parasol was used by the music hall performer, Nellie Wallace (1870-1948 C.E.).

Silk canopy; wooden handle; metal components; cotton decoration; resin; plastic. Base of handle to top of parasol length: 60.5cm (approximate). Maximum width of parasol when closed width: 18cm (approximate).
