Description: The first piece of art ever created by a human in space. Alexei Leonov drew this sketch after exiting his spacecraft (Voskhod 2) for a brief period of time, during which he witnessed the sun rising as his spacecraft circled around the Earth. After Leonov returned to the safety of his spacecraft, he used colored-pencils he brought on-board to preserve the image of what he saw during his spacewalk.
