Description
In this image, Andrews captures Gean Harwood and Bruhs Mero, two gay men who met in 1929 and had been together for sixty-three years at the time of its taking. The two are seen in Mero's bedroom at a nursing home, his bed to their left. Mero, in the striped polo and slacks, sits with his legs crossed and a blank stare. Harwood, wearing the cap and suspenders, leans against a cane and kisses Mero's forehead.
