This was my first WEB class. I feel Chuck did and excellent job in presenting the class material.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instructors should be given extra incentives for teaching web classes. More web classes to choose from would be very beneficial to my college experience. Charles H. Hammersley, Ph.D. communicated the objectives, academic standing and questions in a very timely manner. He has effectively taught me about Parks and Recreation.

This was my first web-based class and I was quite nervous when I first began. This was especially so with the vcc; I was afraid I would mess it up. But...I've grown more comfortable with it. I did find myself reading some but not all of my classmates input, yet I didn't respond to them due to time restraints and...I still have some timidity interacting in the vcc. I liked this class. It was well-organized, had great hyperlinks, and the teacher was supportive, even reminding us of upcoming assignment due dates. Content-wise, well this class was very satisfying. The assignments and readings have enriched and filled out gaps in my extensive recreation experiences.

This was a great class. It was my first web-based class and I really enjoyed it. the work we completed was very interesting, I really like leisure and recreation.

This is an excellent class. I would like to see in the future more importance placed on the value of the text book as a reference book for planning future events for a career.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section B of this evaluation is not applicable to the Special Event Planning class. This class has brought out an interest in special events that I never had before. I had a great experience planning these three events, being a chairperson for one of the committees. I learned how to deligate assignments to group members, follow through with them, deal with conflict, be personable to the public through phone calls and business visits. The class was very close-knit and allowed for every person to get to know each other better than they had before. Friendships grew because of the intensity of the class and how we had to rely on each other and not let people down. As the events showed to be a success, it was a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. This class, being more field work than classwork, like tests, lectures, etc., proved to be one of the best classes in the program. I feel like I have gained more knowledge in this semester than ever before.

Chuck is an awesome instructor. I would recommend him to all students. I have only had good experiences working under him and look forward to having him as an instructor in other classes to come.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Had no idea about the questions that were asked in Section B. But I really enjoyed taking this class. Chuck is a brillant professor. I learned so much through the experience involved in this course. I know that I will utilize these skills in the future.

Great class! By far, the best way to learn special event planning is to actually do it. Dr. Hammersley did a superb job guiding us along, the right
path, motivating us to think for ourselves, and giving us the creative freedom needed to make the events ones we could all be very proud of. As a bonus, he also gave us a bit of real life experience dealing with sometimes difficult people, meaning himself--in the nicest of ways of course. THE CLASS IS TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING!! COME ON--8AM!!

I thought that the course was great, but would suggest that people take the lecture if available.

A excellent class, I really enjoyed being able to go out and perform an actual service for the community. I cannot wait until I come back to visit Northern Arizona and see the park I helped plan being used.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great class. A lot of fun and work learning the planning process and learning how to deal with the county government and the public.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't wait to graduate:)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am glad that we went into class for the first part, then had the option to end it. I don't think I would have learned as much if I had not attended, but once our project was over I think it was ok to end the class. I did have a lot of fun in the class compared to what I thought it would be like prior to the beginning of the semester.

Liked doing the Raymond Park project. Great hands on experience. That seems to be the best way of learning how to plan a park, is by getting in the middle of it and doing it.

I have been looking forward to this class for a while. I know have many ideas that will help me work with my staff more efficiently this summer.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Though this class is web-enhanced with tests and quizzes and homework submitted through email, the tests and quizzes were much more complicated than I was prepared for. They were exactly what needed to be done to learn that much more about this subject. Thank you.

Chuck is a very enthusiastic professor; he will keep you awake during an 8:00 o'clock class. His knowledge and expertise are quickly evident, as well. However, his attitude can be somewhat cocky and unapproachable. At times he can be very intimidating, when he should be supportive and helpful.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks, have a great summer!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chuck needs to give every student the same attention. I waited patiently for 20 minutes, when I finally got in to see him @ other people walked in. Chuck answered these peoples questions first, then ahd 1 minute for me before he had to leave for a meeting! This is not fair!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It would be nice if instructor was easier to approach. I find it very hard because I don't feel like he has the time, or tired harder to help students
without making them feel like they don't know anything. This instructor is very good in the classroom, and I enjoy his classes! The only thing lacking is the one on one communication

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

chuck will bend over backwards to help. He is on fire.

I did not enjoy this web-based course. This experience has taught me that I get more from attending classes than doing the material on my own at home, on the web.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really didn't like using the web to get through this course, I prefer the classroom setting, This course will be the right tool for the future. I guess
it would take sometime to get use to all this internet interaction.
