The Central Island - Local Refleciton Symmetries

The Central Island - Local Reflection Symmetries

In addition to the diagonal lines, there are thinner lines that indicate a reflection symmetry that has a limited domain. Careful inspection of the figure shows a widening web of many local symmetries. I do not understand these symmetries.

A simpler local reflection symmetry can be understood as the First Iterate of the Global Symmetry. The local reflections about the central island are presumably some very high iterate of the global symmetry.
