About the Curator

Hello!

My name is Caitlyn Peed, I am a Sophomore at Northern Arizona University with a major in history and minors in anthropology, humanities, and museum studies. I choose to create this digital exhibit about Dorothea Tanning because as someone who loves history and someone who lives in Northern Arizona I thought that this exhibit could help bring some awareness to my community about a really important surrealist artist who found beauty in Arizona. I was tasked to create this project for my digital humanities class and  I  ended up spending over eight weeks on this project researching, working on metadata, and trying the right words to say, and after all that I am really proud of how my exhibit came out. In the future, I would like to continue in the field of public history and creating projects that help spark the same love of history that I have in the next generation.
