Description
-
On May 4, 1970, Kent State University experienced what became known as the Kent State shooting. Students at Kent State were protesting on campus against U.S. bombing in Cambodia. ROTC members released teargas in order to break up the large crowd, however, it didn't stop there. Although the crowd began to break, ROTC members continued after and the event resulted in the death of four students. This is a photograph of the event just moments after. Towards the middle of the photo is Jeff Miller, one student who was killed, laying in the street as others rush to him
